LeeAnn Kriegh is a Bend-based writer who spent more than two years researching and writing The Nature of Bend.
As a journalist, Kriegh has written for a variety of regional magazines and websites, as well as The Oregonian. For the past dozen years, she has run a writing and editing business called WordDoc, through which she pens everything from websites to white papers for high-tech companies including Google, Intel, and Microsoft, as well as smaller businesses and nonprofits across the country.
Kriegh earned master’s degrees in kinesiology and English and was a college basketball head coach for five years. She has been a nature lover since her earliest days wandering beneath her mom’s towering rows of U-pick blueberry bushes.
